Code in Linz: Risk it Live

Experimental Audiovisual Remapping

20.09.2026
from 10:00 to 12:00
at Servus Clubraum
Kirchengasse 4, 4040 Linz

In this proposed workshop, I will explain my artistic process by using a series of analog auditory and visual signals, digitizing them, and then synthesizing them back into a visual process through creative coding. The focus of this workshop is to convey how any signal, regardless of its source, can control hundreds of code parameters—the patterns underlying this process are hidden everywhere. Participants will be able to experiment with various inputs, ranging from body-pickup devices to analog video from video game consoles. These will then be transformed into an experimental visual experience using TouchDesigner or other visual programming environments.

Nyx Günther

Nyx Günther is an interdisciplinary media artist from Munich, where she studied computer science and media art. Thanks to her background in programming, she has a deep understanding of code and technology. She uses these as tools and a medium to create artistic expression in which a sense of emotional playfulness is not a contradiction but rather the foundation of her artistic perspective. Recognizing that technology is a medium through which we can explore worlds hidden from our senses, she explores themes such as transgender identities and posthumanist self-perception as an emotional process of experience.
