Advanced Synthesis for Strudel: Integrating SuperCollider into Live-Coding Environments
from 12:30 to 14:30
In this workshop, participants will learn to design virtual instruments in SuperCollider to expand Strudel’s sound palette and foster artistic expression and creativity through the use of free software.
Strudel is intuitive and easy to use, offering extensive possibilities for algorithmic composition and live sequencing. SuperCollider is a powerful and versatile program for audio synthesis and editing, but its steep learning curve can be a hurdle. The content of this workshop is divided into three modules:
- Fundamentals of Digital Audio: Introduction to DSP and Signal Flow.
- Virtual Instruments in SuperCollider: UGens and SynthDefs
- Integration into Strudel: SuperDirt and OSC communication
